Tried the pizzas: seafood and etna’s special; parma ham, white cheese, mushroom and pistachio. The pizzas were really tasty with fresh ingredients. I really enjoyed it but for a lunch, I guess trying to finish them both was suicidal and in denial of calories.
Super good deal, total add up to about 15 bucks with tax and all for both pizzas. Will try the pastas next time. Deal till end of May.

I love The White Rabbit decor; their belief to keep to the original state – a chapel with the mosaic floors, high ceiling and Anglo Saxon architecture.

Oooh I love this place! Bread is free flow! Ciabatta or Onion today. The onion bread was soft, fluffy and so aromatic with brown onion bits.

We ordered a tuna carpaccio to share. It was light and refreshing, such a great starter to our meal. I wish the tuna was sliced a bit thicker though. I could not really taste the tuna with the salad and quail’s eggs that came with it.

My main course was lobster capellini. When it came, I was like huh? How come it was lobster bee hoon??

Lol I did not know capellini was like angel hair pasta; so thin and thread-like. I guess it was chosen so that the sauce can surround every strand of the pasta. I like it for its clean taste, I do not like pasta with overpowering garlic taste. Sauce was rather Asian with sesame seaweed and coriander but it was lovely, even lovelier because the dish came with half a lobster. Yums.
Great lunch, great conversation, great place. Love my lunch indeed.

I tried it again for old times sake. I think it tasted rather the same. But I could not remember were there preserved vegetable on it previously. The new version was missing that which was sad. The salty vegetables goes so well with the heavy beef gravy. The chilli and soup were still nice. Yeah another meal choice at ION food hall.
On a separate note, I realise the famous Zion Indonesia Ayam Pangang has shrunk in size!

I am quite pleased with my virgin attempt. I did not follow the artist’s colours. And I realise that colouring is a spiritual activity: the more I dwell and interact with it, the more I can appreciate the work and see things I did not see the 1st time.
Can you see a pair of shoes, leopard prints or plumbing pipes?

This is the cheapest of the lot from Tott’s but the flavour is not compromised. The gravy went so well with the grilled piece of juicy meat. I wish there was more for me to chomp on.

Tott by the way has a sous vide chicken chop. It was like $7.90? Tender, flavourful with crispy skin.

I think I am visiting Tott more in future. Good food and they have interesting merchandise. You can even pay $12.80 to buy cookie dough and bake at Tott’s to bring home. They will provide everything you need. What an enjoyable thing to do with kids. I can imagine me doing with my godchildren.

I must say it was an acquired taste which I did not acquire even after the eating the dish. The jelly was bland with a tinge of tartness and with the vinegarish dressing, the whole dish just tasted sour. I would have been happier if it was just eggs and asparagus.
I ordered a beef mignion with frites. I wanted a medium well but it came like medium rare. When I asked to cook it a little more, it became a bit too well done I think. But it was a nice cut of meat but I think the one I had in Paul Bakery was far more superior.

The dessert was my favourite of the evening besides the good conversation
; brownie with vanilla ice cream. It looked ordinary but under the normal exterior were walnuts, caramelised pecan and real good quality fudgy chocolate. I have not eaten desserts for a while as I am a very conscious and concerned consumer knowing the amount of sugar that goes into making desserts.

Well….that day was a day to throw away my inhibitions

baked doughnut from Paul Bakery. Soft and fluffy with good and rich quality chocolate surrounding every bite you take. Can die.

Egg waffles bought from Savour 2012. Crispy exterior and soft interior and it’s sprayed with TRUFFLE OIL! *gasp* *faint* The combination of vanilla ice cream, truffle oil and eggy waffles will bring one to dessert heaven.
