Perth Day 1
Some unrelated rambles: Finally camp is over! Though I did not stay over, it has been a tiring 4 days. Being the ‘official’ photographer meant I had to be at every location and activity. I did enjoy every bit of it though I was much slowed down by my asthmatic condition. The first few days, I shuffled from one place to another.. thankfully was still able to capture something before the activity ended. By the way, nebuliser is a wonderful invention for asthma sufferers. I won’t be able to even think of shuffling if not for nebulisation.
OK back to Perth. We took an ungodly hour flight at 1am in the morning. That is my nephew looking at planes. He was still energetic at such hours..

Reached Perth at 6 am in the morning! I guess the advantage of flying at that ungodly hour meant that we have one full day in Perth.

It was quite a long wait for shuttle to the hotel. So it’s picture taking time!

My sis was the one who planned an amazing itinerary, loads of fun and educational too. Really appreciate her wonderful planning.

I realise my nieces and nephew have long and slender fingers. Hopefully mine will stretch a bit longer too from learning piano, hee..
Saw some interesting signs along the way to the hotel.

Not very clear. It actually says: The nation of Israel: Proves the existence of God. It’s a signboard outside a church. How true. Effective too, I thought.

The first night was spent at Goodearth Hotel. I thought should be quite classy as it was near Hyatt Hotel. I was sad to be proven wrong. It was small, dingy and lacked proper ventilation. Either you feel stuffy from an aircon that only generated heat or you freeze to death from opening windows that were big enough for a kid to fall out from them. It was so dismal that I did not even feel motivated to take a shot of it.
I also forgot to take pictures of my first dinner at Perth. We went to a food court at Westfield Carousel and I ate at this fast food outlet; Bucking Beef. It sells roast beef and pork and you can have it as a dinner (with peas and chips) or as a burger. I opted for a burger with chips and drink. It cost me 15 aussie dollars! It stunned me for a moment. Sigh..blame it on my poor mathematical calculations. Thankfully it tasted good, especially the chunky chips. It was real crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. I loved it. In fact, I love it so much that I finished it before I could take a picture of it.
